True letterpress printing cannot be automated or rushed. Each cotton sheet is hand-fed, pressure-calibrated, and individually inspected under natural daylight in our studio.

Archival 600–900 GSM Cotton

We print exclusively on tree-free, 100% cotton paper sourced from historic European mills. Its plush texture allows deep blind deboss impressions without show-through on the reverse side.

Methodology

The Five-Stage Craft Process

Typography & Vector Proofing

We analyze your artwork for deboss suitability. Lines are vector-adjusted to ensure optimal depth without tearing the paper fibers during pressing.

Photopolymer & Zinc Plate Molding

High-precision magnesium or zinc plates are etched from your approved proof, creating a razor-sharp 3D die that will bite deep into the cotton stock.

Hand Inking & Color Matching

Inks are mixed manually on glass slabs using oil-based Pantone formulas to achieve ultra-rich opacity and velvety tactile matte finishes.

Deep Impression Cast-Iron Pressing

Using thousands of pounds of pressure on vintage platen presses, each card receives a deep, tactile bite that catches ambient room light.

Edge Painting & Archival Packaging

Edges are hand-gilded with gold foil or hand-painted in signature crimson ink, then packed in velvet-lined gift boxes.
